The Zero Turn Scanning Productivity Center is a single footprint holding table for “to-be- scanned  documents”, a receiving table for “scanned documents” and a flat panel display with keyboard/mouse tray. The document handling system utilizes vertical space to achieve one touch document handling. Designed for use with Contex HD Ultra Series and IQ Quattro Scanners, the Zero Turn greatly increases scanning throughput and profits.

REimage – A Contex Productivity Technology

In any productivity workflow the actual scanning is only a small part of the process. Preparation before scanning and Validation and Archiving after scanning can be very time consuming.

With REimage there is no need to retrieve and rescan your original paper documents. Virtually go back to your RAW scans and capture specific contents, which you did not choose to include in your first file formats. We call it REimage, only available with Contex ScanStations.

Fujifilm lenses – a Contex CCD Technology

Like photography, scanned image quality depends heavily on lens quality. Using lenses that are specifically designed for the scanning resolution will ensure against various problems, from uneven sharpness to chromatic errors and color fringing (black lines show up in color). This is why Contex uses custom Fujifilm lenses in all CCD based scanners.

X-Rite ICC profiles

Using X-Rite generated profiles ensures the highest possible color accuracy for the demanding customers. X-Rite is the global leader in color science and technology.

Adobe RGB, Device RGB and sRGB

Contex HD Ultra scanners have several different options for color space. In addition to the common sRGB the HD Ultra also offers color spaces with wider gamut as preferred by color specialists.

Adobe RGB and Device RGB has a larger color gamut than sRGB, hereby allowing differences in very bright and saturated colors to be maintained in the file.

Contex Natural Light – A Contex CCD Technology

The light source is custom fluorescent with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI > 95) to produce the most accurate colors possible. The CCD itself is high resolution and capable of capturing 48-bit color, but Contex have the unique ability to process the entire 48-bit color data – resulting in the most accurate color images you can get from a scanner today.

xDTR2 – A Contex Technology

Advantages of 64-bit hardware and software

More physical memory for large image files
A 32-bit system architecture can directly address only a 4-GB address space. Windows 10 that is running a 64-bit can support up to 2TB of physical memory.

Faster bus architecture
A 64-bit architecture provides more and wider general-purpose registers, which contribute to greater overall application speed. Function calls are also faster in a 64-bit environment because as many as four arguments at a time can be passed in registers to a function.

With the new SnapScan feature you scan, enhance and save your originals in a single flow. No rescanning needed. It is the perfect link between your scanner, digital storage, existing applications, and your printers.

SnapScan makes scanning faster while protecting your fragile originals by allowing the operator full control over image adjustments without having to rescan.

Auto-generated 8-bit color palette lets you automatically generate a palette from the existing 24-bit scan.

ICC Color Management

Nextimage supports ICC/ICM profiles. It can embed ICC profiles in scanned files, whether it is JPG, JPEG 2000 or TIFF, preserving colors when files are loaded into other applications.

You can also use ICC/ICM profiles to manage colors when making copies with Nextimage.

Intelligent Sharpen/Smoothing Filters

Nextimage is loaded with new image processing options. One of these is the smart new Smoothen filter that intelligently removes pattern noise without blurring the edges in the original. Combine it with the sharpen algorithm to get razor sharp results with smooth noiseless colors.

Closed Loop Calibration (CLC)

Nextimage also comes with built-in closed loop calibration for managing colors when making copies. The CLC wizard helps you create a media profile that is optimized for the individual media in the printer. Simply print a reference pattern on your printer, and then scan it to create the perfect relationship between your scanner and printer.

New Adaptive Thresholding Algorithm

Nextimage also comes with a newly developed B&W algorithm that combines background cleaning and preservation of grayscales in one mode. Use it for both clean new originals and for low contrast blueprints.

Advantages of 64-bit hardware and software

More physical memory for large image files
A 32-bit system architecture can directly address only a 4-GB address space. Windows 10 that is running a 64-bit can support up to 2TB of physical memory.

Faster bus architecture
A 64-bit architecture provides more and wider general-purpose registers, which contribute to greater overall application speed. Function calls are also faster in a 64-bit environment because as many as four arguments at a time can be passed in registers to a function.

Wide Range of Native Printer Drivers Included

Included with Nextimage REPRO you get an extensive list of optimized drivers for large format printers. These drivers surpass normal Windows printer drivers in both speed and ease of use, when working with variable large formats. The Application Printer Drivers are automatically used instead of the normal driver. Printers not in the list are supported through standard windows driver. Simply install the Windows driver and make every printer into a copier.
